We have an exciting opportunity to join our team as a fixed term part-time Specialist Learning Assistant commencing at the beginning of Term 2 and concluding on 12 December 2025. 

Located on the beautiful Hibiscus Coast of Auckland, KingsWay is a high achieving, growing, state integrated Christian school catering for Year 1-13 students, with a current roll of 1994 students.  Our staff are supportive and collaborative, and our work is inspired by love/aroha, heartened by faith/whakapono in Jesus Christ, and motivated by gospel hope/tumanako. 

About the job

As a Specialist Learning Assistant, you will be joining a passionate and committed group of staff, working to support our students with a diverse range of learning and behaviour needs. Based across both our Junior and Senior Campus, the role is between 20-30 hours per week (negotiable), term-time only. You will be working on a fixed term project to assist with integrating an influx of new students requiring additional support into our school.

The successful applicant will be:

• Empathetic, patient, and enthusiastic for helping students realise their full potential

• Excellent with communication and organisational skills

• Able to work well in a collaborative team environment

• Willing to learn new skills

• Experienced in supporting complex learning and behaviour needs (advantageous)

• Willing to support our special character
