We have an exciting opportunity to join our team as a casual School Nurse to provide staffing cover when required.  

Located on the beautiful Hibiscus Coast of Auckland, KingsWay is a high achieving, growing, state integrated Christian school catering for Year 1-13 students, with a current roll of 1994 students.  Our staff are supportive and collaborative, and our work is inspired by love/aroha, heartened by faith/whakapono in Jesus Christ, and motivated by gospel hope/tūmanako. 

About the job

We are looking for caring and qualified health care professional with a current practising certificate to provide cover for our nursing team when they are absent.

You will be responsible for providing the following:

• A comprehensive holistic health assessment, coordinating appropriate follow-up, and providing first aid

• Health services to all students within nursing scope of practice

• Working in partnership with parents, caregivers and whanau, regarding their child’s health needs

• Supporting the delivery of health services to students by other health professionals

• Maintaining student health records

The successful applicant will have:

• The ability to relate well to students, parents and staff of KingsWay School

• Strong English language skills, both written and verbal

• Proficient computer skills

• The ability to respond in a flexible manner to the changing needs of the school day

• Initiative and organisational ability

• Demonstrate good health and safety skills

• Be willing to support KingsWay's special character
