We have an exciting opportunity for you to join the Harvest Christian School team as a full-time Scale A Teacher (Years 0-2) starting 3 February 2025. This is a fixed-term role to cover a leave of absence until the end of the second term in the 2025 school year (27 June 2025).

Harvest Christian School is a state-integrated Christian school with close to 60 students learning at a brand-new school facility located in Kerikeri within the beautiful Bay of Islands. Our staff are supportive and collaborative, and our work is inspired by love/aroha, heartened by faith/whakapono in Jesus Christ, and motivated by gospel hope/tūmanako. 

We are looking for a teacher with an excellent understanding of teaching and learning who has the ability to make learning engaging, relevant and fun. The successful applicant will demonstrate a pedagogy based on structured learning and will have strengths in fostering emergent literacy and numeracy. The ability to build positive relationships and partnerships with students, colleagues, whānau and our wider school community, and a willingness to get involved in all aspects of the school, is essential. 

A willingness and ability to take part in religious instruction appropriate to the special character of the school is a condition of appointment to this position. The successful applicant will be willing and remain able to uphold and support our special Christian character, including how this translates to supporting and growing our students’ faith.  You will enjoy contributing and promoting a biblical worldview through your teaching, and you will protect and enhance our Christian character.
